These young women continue to prove that hard work, discipline, and determination matter. Competing at this level takes grit, confidence, and countless hours of preparation, and we could not be more proud of the way they represent the Northside.
Now, they are STATE BOUND.
Congratulations to Chelsea Turner, Jayla Smith, Terriona Bolden, and Alliyah Powell on qualifying for the IHSA State Track & Field Meet. We know they will compete with heart, speed, and NORTHSIDE PRIDE, and we cannot wait to cheer them on as they take the track against the best in Illinois.
PAWS UP! GO LIONS!

Students in Ms. Hawkins' s class shared some sweet messages with Principal Miller before she departs at the end of the school year. Mrs. Miller loves all of her Lanphier students and appreciates the heartfelt thought that these students put into writing her!

We cannot wait to honor our Seniors! Please join us tonight!

Mrs. Hubbard and her senior students recently visited The Springfield Project Community Development & Coworking Space, also known as CAP 1908, for the fourth time this school year. During previous visits, students explored projects connected to entrepreneurship and innovation.
This visit focused on discovering more about Springfield’s history and culture through the city’s murals and public art. Students toured several murals throughout Springfield, discussed what they learned and observed, and returned to CAP 1908 for reflection and lunch together.
It was a great opportunity for students to learn more about the history, creativity, and stories found right here in their own hometown.
We would like to thank Mr. Jordan for his amazing photography skills that helped capture pictures of our students with the different murals around Springfield!

Yesterday we honored two outstanding seniors from Lanphier Baseball, Gabe Garcia and Kolby Helms, during Senior Night at Robin Roberts Stadium.
Thank you both for your dedication, leadership, and the pride you brought to the Northside throughout your careers as Lions. Your hard work and commitment to the program have not gone unnoticed, and we are proud to celebrate all you have accomplished.
Thank you to the families, teammates, coaches, and fans who came out to support our seniors on a beautiful evening for baseball. Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🦁⚾

Lanphier students had an amazing experience yesterday with a very special guest, Lanphier alum Julio Barranzuela, Class of 1995. In timely fashion with Cinco de Mayo, our Spanish students learned salsa from Julio, now the owner of Salsa 29. He teaches salsa dancing across the United States and shared how dance can promote health, education, and cultural connection while bringing energy and fun to the classroom. We are always proud to welcome alumni back into our building and grateful to Julio for sharing his time, talent, and passion with our students. Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🦁

Today, a group of freshmen and sophomores were selected to visit the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois!
These students were recognized for their excellent behavior and strong academic performance.
They represented Lanphier with pride and had an amazing time exploring and learning together. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication!
Keep up the great work!
