Lanphier Fans!
Let’s fill the stands for the remainder of the CITY Tournament!Bring your best spirit out and cheer on the Lions!
Parents please remember that students middle school age and younger cannot be supervised by a high schooler. They must be there with adult/ parent or guardian supervision.
Also, we need to remember to have rides ready to go at the end of the game and go when the event is over. When The BOS Center closes, we all have to leave. It’s too cold to stand outside and wait. We want our students to be safe and warm.

Lanphier Families, Please make sure that your Lanphier student has logged into the Intranet for attendance. They can check their email or Canvas if they need directions. We need all students to make sure they are counted present for the day and not marked unexcused. Thank you and stay warm!
We wanted to give a shout out to our Senior Wrestlers on a great Senior Night against Decatur MacArthur! Everyone won a match! We are so proud of their accomplishments and can't wait to see what happens the rest of the season! Paws Up! Go Lions! 🦁 🐾

Senior Night for Lanphier Boys Wrestling: Ceremonies will begin at 5:45 tonight in the Gardner Gym, just prior to the home match. Admission is $8 for Adults, and $5 for students.

Heads up to our 10th grade families! Please see the information below from your Assistant Principal, Ms. Nosa.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Latisha Nosa, and I am the Sophomore Assistant Principal at Lanphier High School. In this role, I work closely with students to ensure they are on track with their academic credits and progressing toward graduation.
Throughout the year, I will meet with students to review their academic status and discuss goals after high school. I encourage you to review your student’s cumulative folder by going to Grades → Educational History, where you can view their transcript and earned credits.
In the near future, I will be hosting a parent night to review students’ academic standing and to share resources designed to support student success in high school and beyond. Please be on the lookout for an invitation with additional details.
To further support your student, please consider the following opportunities:
Tutoring: Students are encouraged to seek help from their teachers and attend after-school tutoring, available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30–4:30 PM.
Edmentum Credit Recovery: Students may check in with me to enroll in Edmentum credit recovery courses.
Summer School: This is another option for students who need to recover credits and stay on track for graduation.
Additionally, I would love for your student to participate in our upcoming Making the Grade program. This initiative pairs students with community partners to focus on strategies for improving academic performance. Please complete the attached permission form to enroll your student, or email me at ljcaldwell@sps186.org to confirm participation.
Thank you for your time and continued support. I look forward to partnering with you and your student throughout the school year. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Latisha Nosa
