For the 3rd year in a row, Ridgely Elementary Bulldogs proudly participated in the Illinois State Fair Postcard Contest—a tradition that holds a special place in our hearts!
Each grade level put their all into designing one-of-a-kind postcards that showcase their creativity and school pride. This year’s theme, "Agriculture at the Fair," inspired some truly incredible artwork, and we’re so proud of every student who took part!
A huge thank you to our amazing art teacher, Ms. Glovinsky, for bringing out the best in our students’ creativity. The winning postcards—selected by faculty vote—will be available for all 11 days of the Illinois State Fair in August for fairgoers to pick up and use. What a fun and meaningful souvenir!
This event and partnership with the Illinois State Fair is one that Superintendent Jennifer Gill truly loves and supports—it’s a shining example of creativity and community coming together. Principal Butcher was also there to celebrate and award our talented Bulldogs!
But the surprise of the day?Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello personally presented each of our student winners with a MEGA PASS—giving them unlimited carnival rides for the entire fair!
Way to go, Bulldogs! You continue to amaze us with your talent, energy, and heart!
