-Attention LHS Students!!! Show your school spirit by attending the last football game of the season against in-city rivals Springfield High School on Saturday, October 22 @ Southeast High School. Game time is 1:00 p.m. A fan bus will be available to take LHS students to the game. If you would like to take the fan bus, please pick up a field trip permission slip in the North Office. Permission slips must be returned to the North Office by Thursday, October 20. The first 50 students to return a permission slip will be able to ride the fan bus to the game. Administration has final approval of those students attending. The fan bus will pick up at LHS on Converse Street @ 12:15 p.m. Return time is approximately 3:30 p.m.
-The All You Can Read Second-Hand Book Sale & Coffee Shop is now open in the library, room 149! Used books, coffee, and hot chocolate can be paid for with cash or Venmo. Students can visit the library during lunch or during class with permission from their teacher.
-ATTENTION SENIORS: Please get your permission slip for the Senior Practice SAT Day signed and turned into THE SENIOR BOX located right inside the Academic Center. Extra permission slips can be found outside Mrs. Davis’ room #25. YOU MUST HAVE A PERMISSION SLIP TURNED IN ON TIME to be excused from school on November 2. All permission slips must be in the senior box, which is located in the Academic Center, by 3:30pm Thursday, Oct. 20.
-This Thursday is senior blackout day. Seniors - Wear your Class of 2023 black shirt or any black shirt. Staff - Please join us in the senior blackout!
-If you have had 2 or less tardies for the school year, we will be recognizing you this Thursday with a ten minute early dismissal for lunch. Be checking your Canvas announcements to see if you have qualified! You can also check your attendance on your cumulative folder. Keep up the great work Lions!
-Try-outs for the girls JV and Varsity basketball teams will be held on Monday, October 31st from 3:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. in the Lober-Nika (Main) gym. Anyone interested in trying out, must have a current physical, an athletic permit card, athletic fees paid and a completed concussion form turned in before try-outs.
