-Students, if you need help with your computer, Mr. Morrison will be in the large commons before school, during first hour, and during your lunch shift.  If you need anything, stop by and talk with him during those times.  Students will not be permitted to leave class outside of 1st hour for any reason during the rest of the day.

-The Superintendent’s Student Roundtable is now accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. The group provides a forum for youth to strengthen unity between all local high schools, and the community. Applications can be found at a link sent via your Global Canvas announcements.  Returning members are asked to complete the form, also.  The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7, at 3pm in the Board Room at 1900 W. Monroe Street. 

-The Student Government Association would like to announce this year’s 2022 Homecoming Spirit Week Themes:

-Today - Hawaiian Day

-Wednesday - Class Color Day

9th Grade: Orange

10th Grade: Purple

11th Grade: Red

12th Grade: Blue

* Staff can either stay with the Post Secondary Theme or wear a class color that you teach the majority of.

-Thursday — Throwback Thursday

-Friday — Orange and Black Day

Students must still stay within the dress code during the spirit week.

(No hats, face paint, etc.)

-Voting for the 2022 Homecoming Court is taking place today.  To vote go to your global Canvas announcements, and click on the link in the Homecoming Court Voting announcement.  Voting closes at 5pm. Results will be posted on your Global Canvas announcements by 8am on Wednesday, September 7th. 

-Tickets for the 2022 Homecoming Dance will be sold this week on Thursday and Friday ONLY during Lunch. Tickets are $15 each.  Tickets purchased at the door are $20.00.  We have a limited number of homecoming tickets to sell due to fire code, so we recommend buying them ahead of time. The Homecoming dance is at LHS on Saturday, September 10 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. NO ONE will be admitted after 7:45pm. Any current LHS student is welcome to attend the dance. Appropriate formal attire is required. The dance will be held in the commons and cafeteria.  Students MUST SHOW A PHOTO ID with their ticket to get in.   Students who are excluded from school due to Covid protocol will not be allowed to enter.
