-Students, please log into your Chromebook while you are listening to the morning announcements. If you cannot log into your device, let your teacher know immediately. Your teacher will be sending you down to the North Gym during this period. Also, if you had not brought back your device last year and have it with you today or if you have not yet received a Chromebook, you will also need to go to the North gym this period. Wait until the announcements are over and until your teacher has given you permission to go to the North gym. Students will not be able to get any computer help outside of first period.
-Do you enjoy attending LHS athletic events? Do you have exciting ideas that will raise school spirit? If so, you should consider joining the Spirit Club. On Thursday, September 1st, after school, join us in room 245 for a quick informational meeting to learn more about this amazing opportunity. -Attention Readers: Are you interested in joining a flexible book club that gets together to read & discuss great books? Join Mrs. Corcoran in the library, room 149, during your lunch on Friday, September 2nd for an informational meeting on the LHS Abe 2023 Book Club.
-Students - Please bring your required physical and immunization records to the nurse’s office (room 139). All of them need to be to her as soon as possible. Students will start to be excluded from school beginning September 6th.
-Seniors can purchase permits for the Converse lot starting today through Wednesday, August 31 in the Small Commons. You must have $40 cash and proof of insurance. These will be sold before school, during both lunch shifts, and after school. All other drivers will have a chance to buy remaining spots on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 1 and Sept. 2. You must display your Lanphier permit on your mirror. You CAN NOT park on private property around Lanphier High School. Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
-Petitions for the 2022 Homecoming Court are available outside Mrs. Davis’ room 25 (in the Commons), and the main office. ANY student of ANY grade levels is welcome to run for the 2022 Homecoming Court. Representatives from each class will be chosen. To be placed on the ballot, you must complete a petition requiring signatures from your classmates. Petitions MUST be completed and returned ONLY to THE SENIOR BOX LOCATED IN THE MAIN OFFICE by Friday, Sept. 2 at 3:30. Voting for the court will take place on-line Tuesday, September 6th. Results will be posted on the LHS webpage by Thursday, October 7th.
