-The homecoming dance will be on Saturday, October 17th from 7pm - 9pm in the LHS Wrestling Gym. Tickets will go on sale during lunch on October 13th - October 16th. Each ticket is $20. No tickets will be sold at the door, only during your lunch shifts the week of homecoming. Any student that is suspended at the time of the dance will not be able to attend.
-The petitions for Homecoming Court are available in the Academic Center on the table outside of Ms. Brooks’ office. You must pick up the petition and get the required amount of signatures for your name to be on the ballot. The petitions are due back in the Academic Center in the box labeled “Senior Drop Box” by 3:30pm TODAY! All grade levels, both male and female, can run for court. Freshmen will have one female and one male attendant, sophomores will have 2 female and 2 male attendants, juniors will have 3 female and 3 male attendants, and seniors will have 6 female and 6 male attendants, with one senior female being crowned queen and one senior male being crowned king. You must meet the extracurricular eligibility requirements to be a member of the court. Court voting is also based on a point system that involves: number of votes by LHS students, participation in court events, and recommendations by LHS staff members.
-School Picture Make Up Day will be held Wednesday, October 28th. This session will be for all students and staff who were not present on Picture Day, or who need to retake their photo due to an issue with the picture. This includes 9th through 11th grade AND Senior Portraits. Students wishing to schedule a retake will need to contact Mr. Fisher in advance. You may e-mail him at cfish@sps186.org or catch him on the Yellow Hall. Students who need their first picture taken will be scheduled and notified of their time to come to the auditorium. Your school picture is used for your student ID, the district cumulative folder, and in the yearbook. This is our final picture day for the year, so make sure you are here and ready! That includes you, seniors!
-If you are interested in joining Art club, we will meet Fridays from 3:17-4:15. If you have no experience or a lot, anyone and everyone can join. Meet new folks and have a great time with our very own Lanphier High School art club!

-A reminder concerning Dress Code: No stomachs should be showing at any time. Shorts and skirts should be at least mid thigh. Also, NO PAJAMA PANTS or shorts are allowed to be worn in the school building. Also, coats must be placed in your locker as well.

Check out the image your teacher has displayed. There are just a few ideas shown to promote self care during this fall season. Choose one that you can commit to or share another idea that isn't shown to promote self care with your class.
