Lanphier Daily Announcements

-The Senior Class is Proud to announce Lanphier’s 2025 Homecoming dance will take place Saturday, October 4th from 7pm-9pm in the LHS Atrium. PLEASE note--No one will be allowed to enter after 7:30pm. Tickets will be $20 and will be sold at lunch on Tuesday, September 30th - Thursday, October 2, 2025 during both A & B lunch shifts in the Atrium. Tickets CANNOT BE BOUGHT AT THE DOOR and we will not be selling them on Friday at lunch, so you must make sure you get your tickets during the lunch shifts on the specified dates. We are advertising this early so you have time to save money for tickets, dresses and outfits, etc. Also, please be sure you are eligible to attend, which means you have to have 8 tardies or less, NO suspensions, passing 5 or more classes at the time of the dance, and 5 or less days absent. Also note, that dresses must be appropriate in length and coverage. Any dress with cut-outs or exposed back or exposed midriff must wear a sweater or wrap over it. No jeans, denim, t-shirts or hats will be permitted either. This is a formal event. Please see your assistant principal before the dance if you have any questions. If you will have someone attending with you from another school, you must see Ms. Brooks to get a guest permission slip. 

-All students at ALL grade levels are eligible to run for our 2025 Homecoming Court. Students who wish to run for homecoming court must pick up a petition form outside of Mrs. Brook’s office in the academic center and have it completed and returned to the SENIOR BOX outside of Mrs. Brooks’ office in the Academic Center by 3:30pm on Monday, September 22nd. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS DEADLINE! Get it completed and turned in early and do not turn it in to any staff member, TURN IT INTO THE BOX LABELED “SENIOR BOX.” Students on the ballot MUST MEET ALL eligibility requirements (grades, attendance, tardies, and behavior). Petition forms for homecoming court will be available starting today. Voting will take place on Thursday, September 25th online. More information to follow regarding voting. Please email Mrs. Pochynok with any questions. 

-Appointments are now available at the BB Boutique for Homecoming Outfits of all types! Reserve your dream outfit just in time for your special day! They have dresses, shoes, shirts, pants, and accessories available! All items are available free of charge, they just need to be returned in the same condition following the dance. They have fitting rooms available at your appointment as well! Please see the flyer on Canvas for a QR code and a number to set up an appointment. 

-The French Club will meet on Monday September 22 from 3:30 until 4:00 in Ms. Grendze's room, room 03-011.  All students are welcome to attend.

-Crochet Club will meet in Ms. Cookson’s classroom, Room 3-038, after school on Tuesdays! Please join us if interested in learning or perfecting your crochet skills! 

-Art club will meet Tuesdays from 3:17-4:15 in room 2-060, Mr. Wilson's room. 

-The fall National Honor Society-hosted blood drive will be held on Wednesday, September 24th in the auditorium. If you are interested in donating blood to help save lives and you are at least 16 years old, then visit Mrs. Corcoran in the library to sign up for a time slot. Blood donors receive their choice of a $20 gift card voucher to places like Walmart, Amazon, Starbucks, and more.

-Attention Seniors: There will be a class meeting and Jostens will be here next Tuesday, September 23rd during second hour for their cap & gown presentation. You will attend second hour for attendance and will then wait until an announcement is made to dismiss you to the auditorium for the meeting. If you have morning CACC you will attend fifth hour and will then wait until an announcement is made to dismiss you to the auditorium for your meeting.
