-The Senior Class is Proud to announce Lanphier’s 2025 Homecoming dance will take place Saturday, October 4th from 7pm-9pm in the LHS Atrium. PLEASE note--No one will be allowed to enter after 7:30pm. Tickets will be $20 and will be sold at lunch on Tuesday, September 30th - Friday, October 3, 2025 during both A & B lunch shifts in the Atrium. Tickets CANNOT BE BOUGHT AT THE DOOR, so you must make sure you get your tickets during the lunch shifts. We are advertising this early so you have time to save money for tickets, dresses and outfits, etc. Also, please be sure you are eligible to attend, which means you have to have 8 tardies or less, NO suspensions, passing 5 or more classes at the time of the dance, and 5 or less days absent. Also note, that dresses must be appropriate in length and coverage. Any dress with cut-outs or exposed back or exposed midriff must wear a sweater or wrap over it. No jeans, denim, t-shirts or hats will be permitted either. This is a formal event. Please see your assistant principal before the dance if you have any questions. More information will also be coming out regarding running for homecoming court soon!
-Crochet Club will meet in Ms. Cookson’s classroom, Room 3-038, after school on Tuesdays, starting next Tuesday September 9th. Please join us if interested in learning or perfecting your crochet skills!
-Art club will meet Tuesdays from 3:17-4:15 in room 2-060, Mr. Wilson's room.
-The fall National Honor Society-hosted blood drive will be held on Wednesday, September 24th in the auditorium. If you are interested in donating blood to help save lives and you are at least 16 years old, then visit Mrs. Corcoran in the library to sign up for a time slot. Blood donors receive their choice of a $20 gift card voucher to places like Walmart, Amazon, Starbucks, and more.
-As a reminder, there is a district-wide cell phone policy that must be followed by all students and enforced by all staff members. When students enter the building, all electronic devices must be powered off and put away so they are not visible (for example: In a Chromebook bag, small purse, in your locker, etc.). The policy applies even in the hallways/bathrooms/between classes, etc. The ONLY place where your electronic devices can be on and used is during lunch in the Atrium/Cafeteria/Courtyard area. It must be powered back off and put up before the bell rings to dismiss you from lunch. This policy is in full effect here at LHS.
- Now for a moment of silence
-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
And now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual. Please take some time to discuss your response with your class: Check out the image your teacher has displayed and share with the class your choice! If you wake up one morning with a superpower. Which one are YOU choosing?
Have a Great Day Lions!
