Lanphier Daily Announcements

-School pictures for all students and staff for the school year book and staff & student IDs are TOMORROW. Staff will have their picture taken from 7:30am-8:30am in the auditorium. Students will attend with their English class throughout their day for their picture. Even if you are not ordering pictures, you must have your picture taken for your student ID.

-The Peace Room is available here at Lanphier High School to support all students. The Peace Room is a safe space focused on students' mental health and a space to talk confidentially with a Memorial Behavioral Health clinician for in-the-moment emotional support or even to help with mediation between students. Students may seek help for potential issues like: struggles with friends, family or significant others, school pressures like academics or athletics, bullying, social media challenges, anxiety, depression or stress, prejudice, racism or sexism, and/or for the well-being of peers. If you feel as though you need support from Ms. Jocelyn, our Peace Room clinician, please ask a staff member or go to the Global Canvas announcements and click on the link and fill out the form to go to the Peace Room and the clinician will get with you during the school day.

-Any Girls or Boys interested running Cross-Country this season, talk to Coach Daniel during the school day.

-As a reminder, there is a district-wide cell phone policy that must be followed by all students and enforced by all staff members. When students enter the building, all electronic devices must be powered off and put away so they are not visible (for example: In a Chromebook bag, small purse, in your locker, etc.). The policy applies even in the hallways/bathrooms/between classes, etc. The ONLY place where your electronic devices can be on and used is during lunch in the Atrium/Cafeteria/Courtyard area. It must be powered back off and put up before the bell rings to dismiss you from lunch. This policy is in full effect here at LHS.

- Now for a moment of silence

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

And now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual. Please take some time to discuss your response with your class: Welcome to the second week of school! We are still getting to know each other and building relationships, so let's participate in a quick round of a truth and a lie! Thinking of one true fact about yourself, and make up one false fact about yourself. Share your truth and your lie with the class and see how many people can identify the true fact.

Have a Great Day Lions!
