Lee, Markeese Thomas, 12th Grade Queen Candidates: Chloe Davis, Lucy Graham, Jaionna Greer-Wilson, Morgan Thompson, Ashley Watson. The king and queen will be revealed at the homecoming game at Memorial Stadium. The game is this Friday, October 25th at 7pm, come show your school spirit decked out in your NEON! Come and sit with the Lanphier Spirit Section! - Mrs. White’s food classes are hosting a bake sale TODAY! Cookies will be available during both lunch shifts, with 3 cookies for just $2. Most of the proceeds will benefit United Way. - Here are the themes for Homecoming Spirit Week: TODAY:Thursday, October 24: Throwback Thursday *Friday, October 25: Orange and Black Day *The SGA wants to hear from you during our Homecoming Spirit Week! Students and Staff can submit a picture of showing off their school spirit each day in hopes of winning a gift card. Here's how to win.... 1. Dress to the day's theme. (From head to toe and in a creative way!) 2. Take a picture of yourself, then submit the picture to Mr. Metzke's Canvas page, on the Spirit Picture Button by 3:30 p.m. that school day. 3. All entries will be put on a Google Form Ballot. 4. The ballot will be live from 4:00 p.m. till 8:30 a.m. the following day. 5. Top 5 in votes for the Students and the Top 5 in the Staff will win a gift card courtesy of the SGA. Top overall winner will get an additional gift card. 6. Winners will be announced on Mr. Metzke's Canvas page and on the morning announcements. -Starting THIS WEEK, we will have a competition between classes to see what class can have the LEAST amount of tardies. How does your class win? Everyone needs to get to class ON TIME! Thursday during 7th hour, Mrs. Miller will draw what hour classes we will look at and for tardies and everyone will find out on Friday morning during announcements what top three classes are the winners! The top three classes with the least amount of tardies will receive popcorn during their lunch shift. The teachers of those classes will give students a ticket for popcorn and you’ll collect your popcorn from the concession stand. -"If you need to sign up for Behind the Wheel, please go see Ms. Kauffman in her new room- 2-066. That’s right, Lanphier’s Premiere Scholastic Bowl Team is starting up and meeting Tuesdays, After School in Room 3-002! It’s the perfect I-S-H-A sport for those who’d rather flex the gray matter between the ears then run around a field! We are now putting together this year’s team, and Mr. Dulski NEEDS YOU! It’s fun! It’s grand! We get to visit other high schools! We get to learn and have fun as a team! See Coach Collins or Coach Daniel if you have any questions. -The Snack Shop will be open this week during both A & B Lunch Shifts. You can find the snack shop in the Hall of Fame area at the south end of the Atrium. All snacks will be $2 each. Check out the menu on your global Canvas announcements. We are all restocked for TODAY! -Please note the following changes: Today is the final day that Homecoming Tickets will be sold during both A & B lunch shifts. Ticket sales will be located in the area between the Atrium and Cafeteria. Tickets are $15 if bought at lunch. Only cash will be accepted. Tickets will NO LONGER be sold during the first half of the homecoming football game, but WILL be sold at the door at the homecoming dance. If you wait until the dance to purchase tickets, they will be $20 each. -On Monday, October 28th, any student that had perfect attendance or honor roll will be recognized according to the following schedule: 9th & 11th Grade during 5th hour, 10th & 12th grade during 6th hour. You will be recognized in an assembly, receive a certificate, and will also get to visit the Kona Ice Truck in our LHS parking lot! -Today during your 4th hour class, ALL STUDENTS will be taking the Panorama student survey, please take this seriously and provide your feedback to help improve LHS! -This year in order to attend extracurricular and school/district events you will have to meet grade, attendance, behavior, and tardy criteria. Here is the criteria: you must have 8 or less tardies for the current quarter, you must have 5 or less absences for the current quarter, you CANNOT have ANY suspensions in the current quarter, and you must be passing 5 out of 7 of your classes at the time of the event. -Now for a moment of silence. -Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.
