Lee, Markeese Thomas, 12th Grade Queen Candidates: Chloe Davis, Lucy Graham, Jaionna Greer-Wilson, Morgan Thompson, Ashley Watson. All court members will need to attend a MANDATORY meeting tomorrow, October 22nd at 7:30am in Mrs. Davis’ room near the library, Room 02-56. The king and queen will be revealed at the homecoming game at Memorial Stadium. The game is this Friday, October 25th at 7pm, come show your school spirit decked out in your orange and black! - Here are the themes for Homecoming Spirit Week: *TODAY: Monday, October 21: Class Color Day *Tuesday, October 22: Celebrity Day *Wednesday, October 23: Inside Out Day *Thursday, October 24: Throwback Thursday *Friday, October 25: Orange and Black Day *The SGA wants to hear from you during our Homecoming Spirit Week! Students and Staff can submit a picture of showing off their school spirit each day in hopes of winning a gift card. Here's how to win.... 1. Dress to the day's theme. (From head to toe and in a creative way!) 2. Take a picture of yourself, then submit the picture to Mr. Metzke's Canvas page, on the Spirit Picture Button by 3:30 p.m. that school day. 3. All entries will be put on a Google Form Ballot. 4. The ballot will be live from 4:00 p.m. till 8:30 a.m. the following day. 5. Top 5 in votes for the Students and the Top 5 in the Staff will win a gift card courtesy of the SGA. Top overall winner will get an additional gift card. 6. Winners will be announced on Mr. Metzke's Canvas page and on the morning announcements. -Starting TODAY, we will have a competition between classes to see what class can have the LEAST amount of tardies. How does your class win? Everyone needs to get to class ON TIME! Thursday during 7th hour, Mrs. Miller will draw what hour classes we will look at and for tardies and everyone will find out on Friday morning during announcements what top three classes are the winners! The top three classes with the least amount of tardies will receive popcorn during their lunch shift. That’s right, Lanphier’s Premiere Scholastic Bowl Team is starting up and meeting Tuesdays, After School in Room 3-002! It’s the perfect I-S-H-A sport for those who’d rather flex the gray matter between the ears then run around a field! We are now putting together this year’s team, and Mr. Dulski NEEDS YOU! It’s fun! It’s grand! We get to visit other high schools! We get to learn and have fun as a team! Grab your lunch then head to the library for the meeting. -Homecoming Tickets will be sold during both A & B lunch shifts on Wednesday and Thursday ONLY. Ticket sales will be located in the area between the Atrium and Cafeteria. Tickets are $15 if bought on Wednesday or Thursday at lunch. Only cash will be accepted. Tickets will also be sold during the first half of the homecoming football game near the South Main Entrance of Memorial Stadium (right when you enter); if tickets are bought at the game, they are $20 each. No tickets will be sold at the door. -This school year, there is a new district-wide cell phone policy that must be followed by all students and enforced by all staff members.
