-Students, if you are tardy to class, please report to your classroom as soon as possible and your tardies will be handled there. There are no longer tardy tables to report to, so please do not wander in the hallways looking for the tardy tables or a pass. If you receive 5 or more tardies in your class for the quarter, it will be a referral each time and your administrator will get with you and issue the appropriate consequence. The only time you will receive a tardy pass outside of the classroom will be if you arrive to school after 8:45 am. In this case, you will get your pass from the center of the Atrium.

-If you have NOT taken your Panorama survey, please access your Global Canvas announcements and take that as soon as possible. Any student that has not taken it will be called down at the end of the week to make it up in the atrium.

-It’s time to donate blood and save lives! National Honor Society is hosting another blood drive on Wednesday, March 27th. We have 45 blood donor slots to fill. If you would like to give blood on March 27th, visit Mrs. Corcoran in room 2-029 to sign up for a time slot. Students and staff can sign up. You must be at least 16 years old to give blood. Donors receive their choice of a $10 gift card to places like Walmart, Amazon, Starbucks, and more. First time donors will receive a $25 gift card.

-“If you have already taken driver’s Ed, have your permit, but still need behind the wheel, please go see Ms Kauffman in room 2-035 at some point so she can get you signed up.”

-Art club will meet FRIDAY from 3:17pm- 4:15pm. Come out to practice your art skills or learn new ones, or just meet new people!

-Don’t forget that we are recognizing student efforts in making positive behavioral choices and for being on time to all classes and to school. Each Monday, any student that was referral free and tardy free for the previous week will be entered into the drawing and FOUR student names will be drawn. The winners will be announced and they will come down to the atrium to choose a $25 gift card. We want to ensure that we are making Lanphier a positive, safe, and productive place for all students to learn and thrive so we want to make sure we recognize the efforts of students that are contributing to that goal! Each Monday, every student starts with a clean slate, so if you hit a bump the week before, you will get another chance at the start of each week. We would like to give a shout to Coach Blake Turner and the LHS Football Boosters for providing us with these rewards and encouraging Lanphier students to make safe and positive choices while here at LHS and in the local Springfield community.

-Seniors, Jostens will be here for announcement delivery on March 14th. Your complete remaining balance is due by that date in order to receive your order.

-Also, as a reminder, everyone needs to pick up their trash in the Atrium area after breakfast or lunch is finished. There has been a great deal of trash left behind. We will start watching students and issuing consequences if this continues.

-Please see your Global Canvas announcements for a new scholarship opportunity, the Annette Walker Memorial Scholarship.

-Please try to avoid passing through the area directly outside of the upper gym level this week; the English classes will be participating in a Black History VR experience through the Route 66 Historical Museum.

-"Today is another day of Women's History Month! Each day of the month, we are honoring a woman who is making history as a part of the Lanphier Staff and supply a quote from an inspirational woman!

Today's honoree is Mrs. Poe of the English Department! She has been at LHS for 22 years, and she enjoys the staff she gets to work with everyday.  A woman that is inspirational to Mrs. Poe is Talk Show Host and Business Mogul, Oprah Winfrey. If you see Mrs. Poe today, please tell her thank you for being a generous leader, a compassionate human, and a role model for students to admire.

Today's Women's History Quote is:

“Know what sparks the light in you. Then, use that light to illuminate the world."

-Oprah Winfrey

-Now for a moment of silence.

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

-And now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual, please take a moment to discuss your response with your class: What is your favorite fast food restaurant and what is your “go to” order?
