-Students, if you are tardy to class, please report to your classroom as soon as possible and your tardies will be handled there. There are no longer tardy tables to report to, so please do not wander in the hallways looking for the tardy tables or a pass. If you receive 5 or more tardies in your class for the quarter, it will be a referral each time and your administrator will get with you and issue the appropriate consequence. The only time you will receive a tardy pass outside of the classroom will be if you arrive to school after 8:45 am. In this case, you will get your pass from the center of the Atrium.
-All students will take the Panorama survey today during 4th period. You will be getting a link and instructions in your Global Canvas announcements at the end of 3rd period today. Please wait until 4th period for more guidance from your teacher. Your feedback IS looked at and reviewed in order to help us make Lanphier a more welcoming, supportive, and inclusive place to learn and grow!
-“If you have already taken driver’s Ed, have your permit, but still need behind the wheel, please go see Ms Kauffman in room 2-035 at some point so she can get you signed up.”
-Any students that are interested in helping with track and field events this spring see coach Mola.

-Art club will meet TODAY from 3:17pm- 4:15pm. Come out to practice your art skills or learn new ones, or just meet new people!
-Don’t forget that we are recognizing student efforts in making positive behavioral choices and for being on time to all classes and to school. Each Monday, any student that was referral free and tardy free for the previous week will be entered into the drawing and FOUR student names will be drawn. The winners will be announced and they will come down to the atrium to choose a $25 gift card. We want to ensure that we are making Lanphier a positive, safe, and productive place for all students to learn and thrive so we want to make sure we recognize the efforts of students that are contributing to that goal! Each Monday, every student starts with a clean slate, so if you hit a bump the week before, you will get another chance at the start of each week. We would like to give a shout to Coach Blake Turner and the LHS Football Boosters for providing us with these rewards and encouraging Lanphier students to make safe and positive choices while here at LHS and in the local Springfield community.
-Girls Track and Field practice has started! Meet Coach Napier and Coach Jackson on the 2nd floor above the atrium. Practices will be Monday-Friday from 3:45-5:30pm.. Come with a winning attitude and mindset to make a difference in our program. Any questions see Coach Daniel or Coach Napier during the day!
-Seniors, Jostens will be here for announcement delivery on March 14th. Your complete remaining balance is due by that date in order to receive your order.
-Also, as a reminder, everyone needs to pick up their trash in the Atrium area after breakfast or lunch is finished. There has been a great deal of trash left behind. We will start watching students and issuing consequences if this continues.
-"Today marks the first day of Women's History Month! Each day of the month, we will honor a woman who is making history as a part of the Lanphier Staff and supply a quote from an inspirational woman!
Today's honoree is Mrs. Thompson from the English and AVID Departments! She has been a member of the Lanphier Staff for 12 years total. She enjoys her department and the kids here at Lanphier, and a famous woman who inspires her is Princess Diana! If you see Ms. Thompson today, please tell her thank you for being a strong leader, a voice for students, and a fun person to be around!
Today's Women's History Quote is:
"I lead from the heart; not the head"-Princess Diana"
-Now for a moment of silence.
-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
-And now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual, please take a moment to discuss your response with your class: Today is the FIRST DAY OF MARCH! What is one thing that you would love to accomplish this month?
