-Movie buffs, this is your last chance to register for African American Literature with an emphasis in Black American Cinema. Come engage in conversations on identity, representation, and societal issues via cinematic art, while honing your critical thinking abilities. If you are unable to secure a spot in the current semester, rest assured that you can register for the course next school year.
-Unity Day is put on by the Superintendent’s Roundtable every year during City Tournament Week. It’s a great way to get to know other students from all the Springfield area high schools! This year it will take place on Monday, January 15th from 11am to 1pm in the Southeast High School Commons. There is no school on this day due to the MLK Holiday. Visit your Global Canvas announcements to sign up or look for the table in the Small Commons during lunch!
-CACC will have an Open House on January 25th from 5pm-7pm. This is a great opportunity to tour the labs, meet the teachers, talk with current students, and see if CACC is where you want to be for your Junior and Senior year.
-This Friday, is the FIRST home basketball game in our BRAND NEW LANPHIER GYM. Come support our LHS Boy’s as they take on Lincoln High School. The game starts at 7pm.
-Next Week is City Tournament Week! Here are the themes for each day! Let’s see how many students and staff we can get to participate! It will also be the first week in our BRAND NEW SCHOOL, so a PERFECT TIME TO SHOW THAT SCHOOL SPIRIT!
