-“If you have already taken driver’s Ed, have your permit, but still need behind the wheel, please go see Ms Kauffman in room 2-035 at some point so she can get you signed up.”
-Movie buffs, this is your last chance to register for African American Literature with an emphasis in Black American Cinema. Come engage in conversations on identity, representation, and societal issues via cinematic art, while honing your critical thinking abilities. If you are unable to secure a spot in the current semester, rest assured that you can register for the course next school year.
-Unity Day is put on by the Superintendent’s Roundtable every year during City Tournament Week. It’s a great way to get to know other students from all the Springfield area high schools! This year it will take place on Monday, January 15th from 11am to 1pm in the Southeast High School Commons. There is no school on this day due to the MLK Holiday. Visit your Global Canvas announcements to sign up or look for the table in the Small Commons during lunch!
-CACC will have an Open House on January 25th from 5pm-7pm. This is a great opportunity to tour the labs, meet the teachers, talk with current students, and see if CACC is where you want to be for your Junior and Senior year.
-Now for a moment of silence.
-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
And now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual: On a scale of Baby Yoda, how are you feeling today? (This image will also be emailed to teachers and sent out via global Canvas announcements as well.)
Have a great day lions!
