LHS Families,
We share in your excitement about the upcoming move into the new LHS! However, after thoughtful consultation and ongoing meetings with our construction leaders at O'Shea, it has been determined that we will not start in the new LHS building right after the break. Subsequently, we'll conduct a full move and officially open the new LHS to our esteemed staff and eager students on January 16th. This adjustment in the timeline is intended to benefit us all, ensuring a more comfortable and efficient move into our new space.
This adjusted timeline is aimed at easing any concerns and facilitating a more staggered and organized transition, especially considering the holiday period. We believe this revised plan will not only ensure a smoother move but also provide ample time for staff to prepare, gradually shift their materials, and be fully ready to embrace the fresh start in our new building.
Some important notes :
Students will report to Lanphier High School on January 3, 2023 and use the ramp entrance they have been using all year.
Students will receive their schedule & locker assignments in the commons on January 3rd.
Students will have classes in the Edison Wing until January 12, 2023.
We will continue to communicate via email and will send something closer to January 1, 2023 with more information.
