-Softball will begin open gyms on Wednesday, October 4 at the field. They will be from 3:30 - 5. See Coach Handy with questions.
-Attention: any girl that would like to play soccer this year. There will be a short meeting after school on Thursday, October 5th in room 42. If you have any questions, please see Coach Vargas!
-The LHS Baseball Boosters are hosting a parent meeting on 9/28/23 in the LHS large commons at 6:00 p.m. Please join them to discuss their upcoming fundraiser plans!!!
-Open gym for girl’s basketball is being held on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. See Coach Collins or Coach Daniel if you have any questions.
-The cheer team is looking at having an additional tryout for the winter season! Any 9th through 12th grader interested in trying out for cheerleading will need to complete the interest form and tryout packet which is on Canvas. The Google interest form is due by October 9th at 5pm and you will bring the complete packet with you on the first Clinic on October 12th. Again, this is to check to see how many students are interested. A minimum of 10 students will need to express interest in order for a tryout to be held!
-The blood drive is today! If you signed up to give blood, please come to the Main Entrance at your appointment time to check in with Mrs. Corcoran, then you will proceed to the Bloodmobile on Converse St. Remember to complete any schoolwork you miss due to giving blood. Thank you to our blood donors!
-Prospective NHS students need to return their forms to Ms. Grendze no later than this Friday September 29th to be accepted into this year’s NHS.
-Coalition of Racial Equity, or CORE for short, is a student group composed of people who are dedicated to creative and sustaining a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment here at LHS. Our goal is to create a space to celebrate the unique diversity everyone brings to the table by hosting events and gatherings that uplift minority voices on campus. Our first meeting will be held Tomorrow, Thursday, September 28, after school in room 245. If you have any questions about CORE, please speak to Mr. Jackson, Ms. Morrison, or Ms. Iaiennaro for more information. All are invited to attend!
