-Did you know that 62.6% of Americans are eligible to donate blood, yet less than 5% actually give? Now is your opportunity to give blood and save lives! The National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, September 27th. If you would like to give blood that day, visit Mrs. Corcoran in the library, room 149, to sign up for a time slot. You must be at least 16 years old to give blood. Donors receive their choice of a $10 gift card to places like Walmart, Amazon, Starbucks, and more.

-Drama Club will meet Monday the 25th after school until 4pm in Room 244. Information about the One Act will be given out at this time. If you're interested but can't make Monday's meeting, please see Mrs. Hutchison or Mr. Fisher.
-Are you looking for a club that hosts enjoyable social events with a strong sense of community? If so, you should consider joining the Be Yourself Club. Be Yourself Club, or BYC for short, believes that everyone deserves a place where they can be themselves and connect with allies and peers who share their values, regardless of their preferred pronouns or how they choose to identify. Starting on Monday, September 25th, the Be Yourself Club will meet after school in Room 245 from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. All are invited to attend!
-The Senior Class is Proud to announce that Lanphier’s 2023 Homecoming will take place on Saturday, September 23rd from 7pm to 9pm in the LHS commons. PLEASE note--No one will be allowed to enter after 7:30pm. DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. Tickets for the 2023 Homecoming Dance this year will be LIMITED. Tickets will be sold during A and B lunch for $15 Today in the Small Commons areas. ANY remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the football game on Friday, Sept. 22nd until the beginning of 3rd quarter. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR!!
This year the cafeteria will be used as a throwback game area. We will have a cake walk, cornhole, & bingo. There will be prizes!! Homecoming is a formal dance and students must be dressed accordingly. Jeans, denim, t-shirts and hats will NOT be permitted. Dresses must be appropriate in length and coverage. Please see your assistant principal before the dance if you have any questions concerning dress code.
-The remaining homecoming spirit week themes will be as follows:
TODAY — 9/21 — Orange and Black Day - Students are not allowed to wear hats, no face paint, no items that could be considered a weapon. The staff is encouraged to participate in the spirit week and are allowed to wear jeans while doing it.
-Art club will be meeting after school on Tuesday, September 26th from 3:17-4:15. It is the first meeting of Art club for the school year, so come out and join other artists to make some cool things and meet other people!
-There is no school Friday due to Teacher In-Service. Enjoy your 3 day weekend and we hope to see you at the homecoming dance!
