-This is a reminder that NO HOODS, HATS, OR BAGS CAN BE WORN IN THE BUILDING AT ANY TIME. There will be random classroom sweeps and any students that are violating this expectation will have consequences issued.

-Next Week we will be holding a Cultural Celebration Week! We would LOVE every single student and staff member to participate! Here are the themes for each day:

Tuesday, February 21st: Sneakerhead - The birth of the sneaker culture began in the 1980’s and can be attributed to basketball and the growth of hip-hop music. Wear your favorite pair of sneakers toay!

Wednesday, February 22nd: Black Excellence - There are many important figures in Black history and popular culture. Feel free to dress up as your favorite fictional or real black icon.

Thursday, February 23rd: A Different World - Take us back to the 90’s with your hip-hop fashion or attire that honors a historically black college or university (HBCU) or a Divine 9 (D9) organization.

Friday, February 24th: Ujima: Ujima, which means collective work and responsibility, is one of the seven Kwanzaa principles. Feel free to wear red, black, green, or a combination of these colors in solidarity with our peers.

-Now for a moment of silence.

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Have a great day Lions!
