Remember—regular school dress code rules still apply. And there’s more! 🥤 Students and staff with 90% or better attendance by October 23 will earn a FREE Dirty Soda on October 30 during lunch! -School Picture Make Up Day will be held Wednesday, October 28th. This session will be for all students and staff who were not present on Picture Day, or who need to retake their photo due to an issue with the picture. This includes 9th through 11th grade AND Senior Portraits. Students wishing to schedule a retake will need to contact Mr. Fisher in advance. You may e-mail him at cfish@sps186.org or catch him on the Yellow Hall. Students who need their first picture taken will be scheduled and notified of their time to come to the auditorium. Your school picture is used for your student ID, the district cumulative folder, and in the yearbook. This is our final picture day for the year, so make sure you are here and ready! That includes you, seniors!

-AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING HAS STARTED! Need a place to get homework done, catch up on assignments, study, or get some extra help? After-school tutoring is available to ALL LHS students on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30–4:30 p.m. at the Quiet Lunch Tables outside the Lanphier Auditorium.
-Open gym for girls’ basketball is Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:30 and Thursday’s from 5:30 to 7:30. Girls’ basketball tryouts will be Monday, November 2 from 3:45 – 5:45. You must have a current sports physical, and the on-line athletic permit card completed. Any questions please see Coach Collins, Coach Daniel or Mr. Weir, the Athletic Director. Lanphier’s 25th Annual Orange & Black Alumni Basketball Game Fundraiser is Saturday, November 14. Doors open at 1:30pm.
-All students that leave and then return to school for practices must enter through the Athletic Entrance. This is located adjacent to the parking lot at the corner of 11th and North Grand. A Security Guard will be monitoring that door. Thank you for helping to keep our school safe.
-Another reminder concerning Dress Code: No stomachs should be showing at any time. Shorts and skirts should be at least mid thigh. Also, NO PAJAMA PANTS or shorts are allowed to be worn in the school building.
